MARKET PLACE, CAMELFORD
Personal Note: After 12 years of
being the Webmaster and building the Rotary Club of Camelford website, one of
the very first in District 1290,
I have decided to hand the site over. I am very proud to have been involved over
this time and I trust the replacement will go on as long or longer!.
Sadly they have decided to replace a unique website with the standard
Rotary website. I have enjoyed being one of the original sites but at the end of
December it will NOT be updated. For those who have found it useful,
thank you for visiting us and farewell

THIS IS THE
ROTARY CLUB OF CAMELFORD
Camelford is a small town, steeped in history
and is situated on the River Camel in North Cornwall.
The A39 passes
through the centre of the town making it an ideal base for touring the county.
The attractive villages of Tintagel, Boscastle and Port Isaac as well as
Bodmin Moor are all within easy reach. Nearby Slaughterbridge has two
historical claims to fame, as the site of a major battle between the Cornish
and the Saxons in 823AD and as the place where King Arthur was buried in 542AD.
